This Week Tour concentrates on the South of Iceland, where you find many of the most popular natural sights.
Suitable for groups of different sizes with a possibility to change the daily tours according to your special wishes or to weather conditions, this tour guarantees you to make the most of your time in Iceland.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer
Transfer to Selfoss or Hveragerdi. On the way, we stop at the Blue Lagoon, where you can enjoy a relaxing and soothing bath in its warm water, rich in minerals. After that we drive to Hotel Ork in Hveragerdi (or comparable accommodation in Selfoss) where you will be staying for the following days.
Day 2: Golden Circle
The Golden Circle is one of the most popular day tours in South Iceland. During the tour you visit some of the most interesting and amazing places in the area, including Thingvellir National Park, the site of the first Icelandic parliament and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Geysir hot spring area, with Strokkur spouting its water up to 25-30 meters, Gullfoss, the second most powerful waterfall in Europe, Skálholt, the ancient seat of the first Icelandic bishops in 1056 and the centre of ecclesiastic, culture and education for centuries and then Kerið, a beautifully shaped crater.
Day 3: Jökulsárlón, the Glacial lagoon
This lagoon is one of the greatest natural pearls of the south and south-east of the island. There, you can enjoy colourful (black, blue and white) icebergs of unusual and strange shapes. During this trip, you will be astonished how the landscape in this part of the country is diverse, and you will have the opportunity to see some of these unique and amazing natural sites, such as the beautiful waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, a great number of glacial rivers, vast plains of volcanic ashes and black sands, glaciers and many glacier tongues...
Day 4: Skaftafell – Skogar - Selfoss or Hveragerdi
After breakfast, we drive back westward. On the way, we stop in order to enjoy the landscape and the natural beauty of this part of Iceland.
A visit to the Communication Museum and the Skogar Folk Museum gives you an insight into the standards of living in Iceland in the past centuries.
After lunch and a visit to the Skogar waterfall, we continue our journey back to your hotel.
We recommend dinner at the Viking Hut for a taste of some real Icelandic food (not included).
Day 5: Ghosts, Elves, Trolls and the Northern Lights
During this tour, we drive to Stokkseyri where we first visit the Icelandic Wonders, a center dedicated to Icelandic elves, trolls and the Northern Lights. There we step into the world of elves, trolls and hidden people and get a glimpse of their way of life. While walking between blocks of ice from Vatnajökull glacier and from Greenland you will get an impression of the Icelandic winter. The second visit is to the Ghost Centre where you can experience ghost stories in the environment where the spooky tales actually happened. After that, we go on an adventure search for the Northern Lights. Therefore, we drive away from all city lights so the Aurora Borealis can be seen at their best.
Day 6: Riding the Icelandic Horse
Riding an Icelandic horse is a wonderful and unforgettable experience. In the morning, the trip starts with a pick-up from your hotel to a horse farm nearby Selfoss and Hveragerdi. The Icelandic horse is well known for having five natural gaits, especially the pace and the tolt (tölt).
The rest of the day is free.
Day 7: Reykjavik Sightseeing
After breakfast and hotel check out, we head towards Reykjavik. We start with a sightseeing tour that provides you with an introduction to the world’s most northern capital and its history and development. We discover some of the most important sites of the city, including the biggest church in Iceland, Hallgrimur’s church and the town hall. The rest of the day is free. This is an opportunity for those of you who would like to enjoy and experience night life in Reykjavik.

Day 8: Transfer for departure
Transfer to the Keflavik International Airport.
If late flight, we drive to the Blue Lagoon (if not possible during the first day of arrival to Iceland).

Hunt for Northern Lights by bus
On every evening, we offer you the possibility to go on an exclusive hunt for the Northern Lights, which are most likely too appear on a cold and clear night. After dinner, your driver will pick you up at the hotel and go for 3-4 hours to places where it is most likely to see the Northern Lights.
