Guðmundur Tyrfingsson Ltd. is a family owned and managed business, based in Selfoss, South Iceland. The company was founded in 1969, and it is one of the pioneers and leaders in the travel services in Iceland since it started operation. Today, G.T. operates about 40 coaches of all sizes, including 4X4 ones, situated in Reykjavík, Selfoss, Flúðir, Hveragerði and other places in South Iceland. 

Our company has been a leader in environmental, safety and quality issues. G.T. is the first company in the transport business to formulate an environmental policy that has been used as a guideline in the company management. As a result, G.T. received both the Icelandic Tourist Board’s environmental award in 2002 and the Beluga environmental certification.

Our 4X4 coaches can carry from 9 to 62 passengers. Most of our vehicles have safety belts fitted to every seat and we have over 500 seats with three-point belts. All the coaches are equipped with air-conditioning, ABS brakes, reclining seats, footrests and, of course, an experienced driver.

We offer one of the youngest fleets known in passenger transport in Iceland, with an average vehicle age of less than six years. 

Almost all our coaches are built in Iceland by our employees.

Our coaches can be rented out for any occasion and to wherever you want to go. They can also be rented with or without a driver.

Besides being a coach service company, Guðmundur Tyrfingsson owns a tour operator and travel agent licence, enabling it to organize many interesting tours and trips around Iceland, for both Icelanders and foreign guests.
